Laying our ego down on the altar means that we think about ourselves the way that God thinks about us. Lay down your longing for approval by pleasing God and living from His approval instead of for the approval of people.

The heart of God is people. The kingdom of God is people of all nations and tribes. Heaven is a place full of people that love God from every corner of the earth. The kingdom is about people. Lifeway church is a church full of kingdom culture. A church for every nation and every generation. God loves people, He sent Jesus for people. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things. The Father is not looking for perfect. He is not looking for the most beautiful or, the most wealthy. God is looking for the obedient. The world can seem like a hopeless place but there are stories of hope, faith and miracles each day. What we need is hope that it only comes from Jesus. The hope that came to us in Jesus came through the resurrection! If you are facing hopelessness, remember, it's not over yet!

We are looking at the famous last words of Jesus. One of the last words of Jesus were why? Jesus asked the question why. Jesus can identify with us in that He faced tough times and even in those tough times He asked why. However Jesus didn’t stay there. There are three important keys in these times. Number one you can’t know everything, its okay to say you don’t know. We are all tempted to give up, even Jesus was. He just didn’t give in. Finally, every day that you trust Him is a step of faith. In this series we take a look at the famous last words. Jesus had little time remaining when He said "Father Forgive Them". Forgiveness was a big deal to Jesus. We see three key points. Faith is a simple as believing God. Faith for healing is a simple as connecting your faith with the healing power of God. It just takes the faith of a mustard seed. There are three keys to faith connecting to healing. You must first believe that God heals because it says it in His word. We must trust with our heart not our head. Finally we must reach out, reach out for God. It is not your power that gets you healed, its God's.

God promises healing in His word. And every promise of healing in the word of God is YES and AMEN! He is working it out in us daily!

Jesus would "undo" our hypocrisy...when what we say and portray is different from how we really live. Hypocrisy is the gap between what we show and who we are. Jesus wants us to be full of truth and real.

Jesus would "undo" our hollow worship where we are giving Him lip service only. We focus on what we see, but God focuses on the heart. God is looking for us to give him our lives daily.

Jesus would undo a life lived in indifference by reigniting the spiritual fire; doing something that requires faith everyday. Jesus desires for us to live all in. Let the spirit of God lead you to do something that you can not do on your own.

When I take my eyes and my thoughts off of myself in my daily "grind", I become grateful knowing that the prize is in the process and all I do is for the glory of God. The prize is what your doing for the glory of God. The more selfless we become, the more grateful we will be in what we are doing.

Becoming selfless challenges the generosity factor in your life. God is trying to get us from the holding onto something to living to give. We must unlearn selfishness...and understand how generous God is.

Faithfully serving others is part of being selfless. Bringing a lunch, offering a ride and carrying a towel for others is actually serving Jesus. A selfless person is a servant. They live to give and serve others.

Being selfless means that I consider the eternity of others and boldly witness for Jesus. My life is not about me its about other people. I am living to reach others for Jesus. I care more about them knowing Jesus than I do about myself.

God is always with us. He will never leave us or forsake us. He promised. No matter what your going through or have ahead of you God is there. God will see you through just call on him. If we place our trust in God, He will be with us always. God is with us.

Never let the presence of a storm cause you to doubt the presence of God. He is with us in the middle of every storm of life. No matter what storm has come upon you, when you look to Him, His peace will surround you and calm the storm inside you. God is with us.
